Have to wonder what the Red Scare link is doing there. Giving more power to fewer people, homogenizing things and removing checks and balances certainly is a recipe for catastrophe.
ReplyDeleteSure, all's well when "your guy" is in power, by what about in 4-8-12 years? The political system be definition attracts politicians, people who want power, people from special interest groups, etc. The more people these people have to screw up your life, the more they'll do exactly that.
The way to "fix things" (whatever that means) goes through less power in the hands of a small group of individuals, not more.
