Striz: Why does something exist instead of nothing?

Martin Striz is wondering why existence should exist. As usual, he and I are on the same wavelength.

When you don't exist time passes very quickly. So there is plenty of opportunity to go through all the nonworking combinations until you hit on something that works.

1 + -1 = 0
Nothing is existant. We simply haven't reached the other half of the equation yet.

Seriously, we live in a ghost universe, a quantum flicker, a world of shadows that will dislove once more back into the emptiness of nothing, in but a mere quantum flicker. (The lifetime of the Universe is but a quantum-flicker. A human life is a infitessimaly small fraction of that flicker.)
